Terms of use

These terms cover the Megaphone Bar app for macOS and the website getbaton.app. By downloading or using Megaphone Bar, you agree to them. Megaphone Bar is made by Rodney Manor ("we", "us").

Using Megaphone Bar

Megaphone Bar is free during launch. You may use it for personal and work use. Please do not reverse engineer it, resell it, or use it to break the law.

Your content

Your recordings, transcripts, notes and hand-offs belong to you. They are stored as files on your Mac. We do not claim any rights to them.

Recording and consent

You are responsible for following the recording laws where you and the other people on a call are. Where the law requires it, tell people and get their consent before you record.

Claude and other services

Hand-offs run through Claude Code under your own Claude account. Your use of Claude follows Anthropic's terms, and any limits or costs of your Claude plan apply. Connectors you set up (for example Slack, Notion or Linear) follow those services' terms. We do not control those services.

AI output

Notes, emails, posts and other hand-offs are written by AI from your call. They can be wrong or miss things. Check them before you send or rely on them.

Pricing changes

Megaphone Bar is free during launch. If we add paid plans later, we will say so on this site before they start. You will not be charged without choosing a paid plan.

No warranty

Megaphone Bar is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it working, but we cannot promise it will be free of bugs or always available. Keep backups of files you care about.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, from your use of Megaphone Bar.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Megaphone Bar after a change, the new terms apply.
